Willow Weaving Workshop

Our event is a workshop showcasing the traditional irish craft of basket making using willows. Helena, 'The Willow Woman' will do a demonstration on how these baskets are crafted. The idea came around from a discussion with our members, who said it is a skill they would like to learn, and to kick this off we said we would hold a workshop during heritage week to share Helena's knowledge with the wider public. It promises to be an excellent morning, full of knowledge and fun. This event is proudly funded by the Irish Heritage Council.
