Wildflower Seed Saving and Meadow Management

20 August, 6pm - 7:30pm

  • Meadow across from St. Clare's Catholic Church
  • Manorhamilton,
  • Co. Leitrim

Join Yosef Dvores to find out more about our wildflower meadows and how to save seeds from our native wildflowers. Seed saving is an age-old tradition of resilience that is a great way to get engaged with nature and the community. It's a simple concept that means exactly what it sounds like: saving seeds in order to grow them in the future. This fun and empowering exercise is hugely important for protecting our disappearing wildflowers. We will also be identifying wildflowers and discussing how to create your own wildflower meadows.

This event is taking place in partnership with Our Native Glens.
Our Native Glens is a voluntary nature conservation group set up, to bring communities together, to help restore Leitrim’s Wild Atlantic Temperate Rainforest, create awareness & appreciation of Leitrim’s natural environment & carry out Meitheal work days.
