Whirlpool Workshop at Birr Castle Demesne

On the 21 August, the Astronomical Observatories of Ireland welcome you to Birr Castle Demesne for workshops linking our astronomical heritage.

Whirlpool Workshops are suitable for children aged 8 to 13 years. Children must be accompanied by an adult. This is a FREE workshop and both children and adults must have tickets to attend. Maximum of 2 adults can attend with a child.

Each workshop will combine information on our astronomical heritage and modern research with arts activities linking to the research conducted with the Great Telescope, still located on site. Participants will be welcome to take their artwork home after the workshop.
