- East Square, Askeaton Co. Limerick
- V94VYC6
- Co. Limerick
We are developing a Virtual Reality Experience (VR) of Askeaton Castle and Franciscan Friary. This project will be aimed at those with limited mobility who at present are unable to experience the wonder and beauty of our local Askeaton Castle and Franciscan Friary. This project is being funded by the Heritage Council and it will open door to those unable to visit these sites due to mobility issues (wheelchair users etc) Askeaton Tourist office acknowledges the difficulties faced by local families and those visiting our area when they are unable to fully immerse themselves in our local history due to venues not being accessible, this is the fault of nobody as these buildings have been there for hundreds of years. We hope to lead the way and hopefully there VR experiences will become the norm for those with mobility issues.
This event is also available over Zoom
