Visit Ross Castle Vault and Gardens, Rossacahill, Co. Galway
First constructed in 1539 by The "Ferocious" O'Flahertys”, one of the tribes of Galway, Ross Castle is an elegant manor house nestling in a picturesque setting of mountains, lake, and 120 acres of parkland. It has been meticulously restored by the McLaughlin family over several decades.
The Castle vaults and gardens will be open to the public to explore between 10 am and 3 pm from Saturday, August 16th to Friday, August 22nd.
Ross Castle is a proud member of Historic Houses of Ireland and is opening for Heritage Week on its behalf.
There is no entry charge. However, donations for four students being supported by the McLaughlin family at Kimlea School in Kenya would be appreciated but are optional.
