Visit Larchill Arcadian Garden in Co. Kildare. Created between 1720 and 1740, this ‘Ferme Ornée’ or Ornamental Farm is the only surviving, near complete, garden of its type in Europe. It is set within 65 acres of parkland.

A circuitous walk through beech and lime avenues leads from the formal Walled Garden adjoining Larchill House and the Gothicised Farmyard, around an 8-acre lake, linking follies and gazebo seats, all with marvellous views of the Dublin mountains.

On August 24th, we will also host a poultry sale with many breeds of chickens, duck, geese and exotic fowl. Larchill Arcadian Garden is a member of Historic Houses of Ireland.
