"Twice Built" Talk on the Construction of St. Patrick's Church, Monkstown

On the 29th June 1861, a group of bishops, priests, and laity gathered in the garden of Bloomwood House in Monkstown to lay the foundation stone for a new church to be called St. Patrick's. The construction did not go according to plan .................

Author of the book "Twice Built" Tom Conlon will give a lunchtime talk and tell the complex and extraordinary story of the building of St. Patrick's a Roman Catholic church in what later became the seaside parish of Monkstown, 10km south east of Dublin city, during the years 1861 to 1866.

Copies of "Twice Built" first published in 2016 will be available, all donations will be given to the parish.
