About the event: Get Heritage Week off to a great start! Come with Foyle Civic Trust to explore the history, heritage and beauty of Gola Island, County Donegal. The trip will include, the return ferry, a visit to a vernacular cottage for a short talk on the history of the island, a screening of RTE's short film, 'Terminus', 1970, followed by a walking tour. There will be the option to explore the beaches, or take a walk to the sea arch. Lunch, and tea and coffee will be provided. Join us to learn more about the decline and ongoing revival of an island steeped in heritage and natural beauty.
