Traditional Irish Vessels – Heritage in Your Hands
19 August, 3:30pm - 5:30pm

Join us for a creative workshop where adults will explore the art of making traditional Irish-inspired vessels. Using hand-building techniques such as coiling and pinch pots, participants will shape their own pieces and decorate them with patterns and symbols drawn from Ireland’s rich ceramic heritage.
Irish pottery has a history stretching back thousands of years, from the Neolithic pots of Newgrange to medieval jugs and bowls, each piece carrying its own story. This workshop offers a chance to connect with that heritage while creating something unique.
Hosted by The Mood Designs, the session will be led by Ella Szczerbak, a ceramic artist with 13 years of experience in teaching and creating ceramics using varied techniques. All pieces will be glazed and fired in our studio for later collection.
This workshop is free as part of National Heritage Week (booking required).
This workshop is presented by The Mood Designs in association with the Mayo Heritage Office.
