Killineer is a classical Regency house of white stucco, built just north of Drogheda in County Louth. Completed in 1836, it is surrounded by 17 acres of beautiful gardens. These include Ireland’s largest surviving 19th century laurel lawn, a walled vegetable garden and formal Italianate terraces below the house leading to a beautiful lake. A classical summerhouse lies to one side, beside an attractive wrought iron bridge.
