Tours of Grenane House, Tipperary
The Mansergh family have continuously lived in Grenane House since 1700, making it one of the oldest lived in houses by the same family in Ireland.
Notably all of the plasterwork in the house is completely original. The front windows are by James Wyatt and there are mantelpieces by both James Adam and Bossi. Among the more modern touches is a beautiful playroom completely hand-painted by Marion McDonnell of Tipperary depicting “The Mice of Brambley Hedge”.
Tours take place at 2 pm and 4 pm daily throughout Heritage Week.
ALL TOURS MUST BE PREBOOKED BY EMAIL.
ADMISSION FEE €20 euros per person.
