
Tours of Castlegarde Castle, Co. Limerick
Built in the 1190s by Donal Mor O’Brien, King of Thomond, with the help of Aoifa, wife of Strongbow, Castlegarde is Ireland's oldest continually inhabited castle. It was given a beautiful gothic-style three-story extension designed by the famous Pain brothers in the 1800s.
Castlegarde also it has its own well, moat and bawn wall as well as a resident ghost, the Lady in Silk!

The minimum charge is 50 euro per 90-minute tour. This covers up to five people.
Any additional participants will be charged 10 euro each.
Last tour each day at 3 pm.
