Tour of the Malthouse, Stradbally
The Malt House in Stradbally is on a site where corn milling was first recorded in 1594. The oldest corn mill buildings on the site date from 1732 with the malting kilns and manager’s house added around 1890. The latter have since been renovated as residential accommodation. The owner of the Malt House will be giving a free tour of the complex at 3 pm on Saturday, August 24th. The Malt House is a member of Historic Houses of Ireland.
Suitable for families. Gravel paths may be difficult for wheelchair users.
