Glenmalure Pure Mile Group are delighted to invite you to a cultural event on the 19th of August to celebrate the recent restoration of the historic mining building, the old Crusher House in the Glenmalure valley
Meeting at Baravore Car Park to be followed by a short walk to the old crusher house site, for a historic talk as well as an on-site demonstration of the building methods used to restore this monument to its current state.
This will be followed by two Citizen Science workshops hosted by the "Coastal Uplands Heritage and Tourism" group.
These workshops are aimed at children and adults where there will be interactive exploration of the rivers and geology of the area.
Participants are then invited to gather at the nearby Hostel for light refreshments, music and poetry.
Please park at the Baravore Car Park only.
Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for an outdoor event.
Participants may wish to bring a light lunch/snacks/drinks with them as required.
