Archaeological excavations have been ongoing along the Foynes to Adare bypass for the past year. For Heritage Week 2025 there will be an opportunity to come and visit one of the sites currently being excavated and meet with the archaeologists involved with the scheme. This is a ticketed event.
This event is supported by Transport Infrastructure Ireland, Limerick City and County council and Archaeological Management Solutions.

The site visit will last 1 hour. This is a ticketed event and we will only allow people access with a valid ticket to visit the site. There is limited parking spaces on the site and so tickets are limited and based on number of people within each car. Please select a ticket which represents the number of people within your car who will come along for the visit. If you cannot attend please let the organiser know. We will send out an exact location closer the time. The walk to the site is uneven and can be mucky, please wear appropriate footwear/outdoor clothing.
