The Irishtown Piper - A celebration

This celebration, organised by Irishtown Heritage Group, will honour the memory of the Brooklyn-based Uilleann Piper Michael Carney (1872–1938), a native of Irishtown, who was one of the most popular musicians of his era in New York.
The programme for the day will start at 12.00 with a two-hour ‘Try the Pipes’ event presented by Na Píobairí Uilleann. There will also be performances by guest musicians, unveiling of a plaque, launch of a booklet, and video screening. Full details will be announced soon.
