The History of Clara’s Colourful Educational Journey

From hedge schools to religious and training schools, Clara’s educational history is as rich as it is diverse. This presentation will trace the development of education in Clara through the centuries, followed by an open discussion where attendees are encouraged to share their own memories and stories.

There will be on exhibit handmade lace and dolls, made by the women who partook in the six-week Creative Ireland Lace Making Workshops and a tapestry rug made by women who partook in a Collaborative Creative Ireland Workshop.
