Join Mohill Historical Society and friends and traditional singer Fionnuala Maxwell who, with the historical society will guide you on a walk through the town to discover its history from the perspective of music, song, poetry and stories.

As the late, great ballad singer and collector Frank Harte stated, “those in power write the history, while those who suffer write the songs.” This walk will take you on a journey of discovery through layers of Mohill history and culture as we celebrate its legacy of music, song and written word.

You can expect an engaging tour where you will be regaled by various singers, musicians, story-tellers, characters and local history experts.

This tour will start at Mohill library at 7pm Monday 14th AugusT and we will finish back at the library where there will be music and refreshments.

Please be aware that this is mostly an outdoor event and may prove difficult for those with mobility issues but the closing session in the library is accessible to all.
