This walk begins on Montpelier Parade, the earliest terrace in Monkstown and will also explore Belgrave and Eaton Squares. We’ll see the early oil lamps of Montpelier Parade and hear of some of its former residents; hear the history of the squares and the institutions such as the Hall school located there as well as former residents including the maritime painter Richard Brydges Beechey; draw attention to architectural details that illustrate life in the nineteenth century and highlight the squares’ unique shared green spaces.
This walk will have limited spaces and we will sharing a link for registration in early August.
Children have to be accompanied by a parent / guardian
