
Talk at Brownshill Dolmen, Hackettstown Road, Co. Carlow
Join Carlow Historical and Archaeological Society for a talk at Brownshill Dolmen on Saturday 12 August at 12pm. Brownshill Dolmen, it has been estimated, was constructed between 4,900 and 5,500 years ago.
The magificent granite capstone, weighing about 103 tonnes, is believed to have been a place where religious ceremonies took place.
