Site Visit to The Laurels House and Garden
As part of National Heritage Week Members of the public will be able to visit The Laurels house and garden where participants will be able to view progress on the conservation works to date and are due to complete at the end of this year. Visitors will be provided with an overview on gentle rehabilitation of vernacular buildings by a Conservation Architect from Dedalus Architecture and the Architectural Conservation Officer from Donegal County Council.
The property was in a derelict state and will be brought back into use as accommodation for an artist in residence. It has the opportunity to be a demonstration project that would be useful to people who are involved in rehabilitation of vernacular buildings in Donegal.
Not suitable for children as there are ongoing construction works at the site. Suitable clothing and footwear required.
