Short Tour/Talk at Inish Beg Estate, Baltimore, Co. Cork
Enjoy a short tour/talk at the spectacular Inish Beg Estate on Inish Beg, the most northerly of the Carbery Hundred Islands in the tidal estuary of the Ilen River. Now a working farm run on organic principles, the 97-acre estate also includes 42 acres of woodlands plus a walled garden and a sunken garden.
There is also a bronze age Cromlech (boulder burial) in addition to a tree-covered Lissaghaun (little fort or fairy mound) in front of the main house which dates from 1899. Inish Beg Estate is opening its doors for this event in association with Historic Houses of Ireland.
