In the celebration of the National Heritage Week, Sanctuary in Nature & Heritage are offering for newcomers and locals a free outdoor family activity (including walking tour) to enjoy Irish wildlife, landscapes and built heritage in the Phoenix Park, meeting new people from all around the world who will share their stories of nature and living heritage in their own countries.
We will start the tour at the Phoenix Park Visitor Centre, Ashtown Castle, Phoenix Park (Eircode: D08 Y304 ), at 11am. We will have a storytelling session together in the Phoenix Park Visitor Centre led by Cynthia Simonet and Muhammad Achour supported by a great collaboration with the OPW guide team, until 12:15pm. We will all have a picnic lunch together outdoors before we move by coach and cars to the Biodiversity Centre to enjoy a guided tour of the Furry Glen, a very special area within the Phoenix Park, finishing up around 3pm...
