Brenda Castles, from Co. Meath, mastered concertina under maestro Mícheál Ó'Raghallaigh. With two solo albums, she is a seasoned performer, often appearing with Mick Moloney's Green Fields of America, as well as performing solo concerts for the Consairtín festival in Ennis, Temple Bar TradFest, Meath Beo, and the Pipers Club.
Beyond music, Brenda has delved into film, creating and producing 'Plight of the Bumble Bee', with her own compositions as a soundtrack. The film explores the world of bees and their deep connection to Irish religion, history, folklore, and biodiversity.
The film will be screened in ITMA's Library. Entry is free.
