The story of "Petticoat Loose" is well known to people in South-West Tipperary. A local woman, as punishment for her misbehaviours, "Petticoat Loose" was condemned to drain Baylough, in the heart of the Knockmealdown Mountains, with a thimble. Two years ago, tbis legend was the subject of a community film project which was commissioned by the Clonmel Busking Festival. On August 22nd, it will be shown in the Audio-Visual Room of Cahir Castle. Although there is no charge for admission, we ask patrons to book online or by phone.
