Get ready to uncover the mysteries of prehistoric Clare at Megaliths of the Metal Ages for Heritage Week. A medium level hike of c. 2-3hrs over occasionally rough terrain to see the court tomb and wedge tombs on Roughan Hill. Hear about the ongoing analysis of the exciting remains recovered from excavations associated with the three wedge tombs on Roughan hill. You will also hear about the the communities that lived here around four thousand years ago. Meet at Commons North, the Burren, Co. Clare (parking along the L5096 - to the north of Parknabinnia wedge tomb).
