Mealagh Valley Heritage Day

Join us for the Mealagh Valley Heritage Day:
A free, family friendly event, we will bring together our whole community, to engage in the rich heritage of our valley, and connect with our neighbours.
"Voices of the Valley": a valuable and engaging documentary film will be launched: showcasing the vibrant oral history of the valley, and weaving stories of the past into our modern lives.
The day will include talks and fun activities on biodiversity, heritage crafts, nature art, archaeology, local set dancing and traditional music.
The day is a very special opportunity for all backgrounds and ages to come together in celebration, education and of course enjoyment!
We will be keeping traditions alive, and carrying the voices of the valley forward with us.
A kids area will have a special emphasis on biodiversity and nature. There will be Bird Bingo, a nature scavenger hunt, crafts and much more.
