It's Heritage Open Doors at Kerry County Museum and we are delighted to welcome living history groups Tercio Irlanda & Tercio de Olivares for a very special event. Immerse yourself in the powerful story of Hispano-Irish relations—from the Treaty of Dingle to the decisive Battle of Kinsale and beyond. This living history event brings the legacy of the Hispano Irish Brotherhood to life, as Tercio Irlanda and their brother company from Spain, Tercio de Olivares, unite to honour a bond sealed in the fires of the 16th century. Witness thrilling historical demonstrations, living history displays, explore life in a soldier's camp, and immerse yourself in the world of 16th Century Ireland—where cultures clashed, alliances formed, and history was made. This Heritage Week, 30 Spanish reenactors will travel to Kerry to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with their Irish comrades, just as their ancestors did centuries ago.
