Join us at Moore Hall and the shores of Lough Carra, Co. Mayo, on Saturday 16th August, for an exciting day of exploration, discovery, and citizen science at the Lough Carra Bioblitz!

This unique event invites nature lovers of all ages to help record as many species as possible in a single day—birds, plants, insects, mammals, and more. Set in the stunning landscape of Moore Hall’s historic estate and the crystal-clear marl lake of Lough Carra, it’s the perfect opportunity to learn about biodiversity while contributing to vital conservation data.

Bring your curiosity, your family, your enthusiasm and a picnic. Enjoy hands-on activities, kids’ nature trails, and the opportunity to learn how to identify species through biodiversity survey apps. It’s free, family-friendly, and a fantastic way to celebrate the natural heritage of the area.
