Lecture by Canon Noel Regan and Wendy Lyons, on the Last of the Prince Merchants of Sligo, Arthur Jackson (1853-1938) who was married to a Pollexfen with connections to the Middleton and Yeats families. Arthur Jackson made Sligo famous as a trading port and played a prominent role in Sligo affairs for half a century.

Visitors will see inside the Sligo Masonic Hall one of the most distinctive and recognizable buildings in Sligo. It was built in 1895, the contents are original and of great historic importance, not only to Sligo but nationally. Visitors will be able to view the building and contents and hear about the connection of Arthur Jackson to Sligo,
