We are so glad to introduce the beautiful Kenmare Lace. This superb Irish needlepoint (needlelace) is well known throughout Ireland and abroad for the beauty of its lace and designs for lacemaking. At The Kenmare Lace and Design Centre you can see lacemaking demonstrations and purchase small amounts of handmade locally made lace, kits and books on Irish lace.

Nora Finnegan who is the custodian of Kenmare Lace, passed on to her from the Poor Clare Nuns who were based in Kenmare from 1861 to 2023, will be providing lace demonstrations for groups of 10 people. This intricate lace requires huge amounts of skill, which Nora has in abundance. A truly legendary experience that depicts 'living heritage'.
