Kilkenny City Walls Interpretation Plan Walking Tour 1
Kilkenny County Council have commissioned Research and Dig to assist them in the creation of an Interpretation Plan for Kilkenny's Medieval City Walls.
We are moving towards the end of the plan making process. As a result, we really want to hear the opinions of those living and working in Kilkenny on the draft proposals for telling the story of this important monument.
As part of the stakeholder engagement process we are running two walking tours for the community. During each tour we will talk about interpretive signage, using the arts to engage people with the past, accessing towers, how the walls are presented, education programmes, events, etc.
The walking tours will take 2 hours and cover 3km. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Unfortunately, sections of the tour are not fully wheelchair accessible.
The tours will begin outside Kilkenny Castle on the Parade and end outside St. Canice's Cathedral.
Places are limited, so please ensure you book through the Eventbrite link below.
