Ireland's native woodlands are a precious habitat and natural resource, and a haven for biodiversity; they are also rare, small and under threat from many factors. This family-friendly event starts with a talk in Enniskerry Library, and then explores nearby Knocksink Wood Nature Reserve. Meet some of the plant and animal species we need to keep an eye on as they spread through natural habitats, find out how to help keep them in check, and learn how we can best help care for our local Nature Reserve when we visit.

This event is provided by Knocksink Wood Education Centre, the education and information hub for the Wicklow and North Wexford Region of the National Parks and Wildlife Service. We are very grateful to Enniskerry Library for providing the space for our talk as we await the reopening of the Education Centre!
