As part of our celebration of National Heritage Week 2024, Na Píobairí Uilleann is offering a two-day reedmaking course in 15 Henrietta Street, Dublin 1.
This course is an Introduction to Uilleann Pipe Reedmaking and will be taught by piper, and expert reedmaker Joe Byrne. This course aims to promote and help people to engage with cultural heritage.
An Introduction to Uilleann Pipe Reedmaking is ideally suited to people who are interested in uilleann piping but have no experience at making uilleann pipe reeds.
Over the two days (10am to 4pm), participants will go through the process of making a reed and will have the opportunity to make a reed.
