Inis Dom Sceal

Inis Scéal Dom “Tell me a Story”, a compilation of the The School’s Collection book produced by Sandra Cunningham & Paul Buckley, from all the primary schools in the area.
Between 1937-1939, the government carried out the The school’s collection where they got school kids all over the country to write down folklore stories from the area, either that they were aware of themselves, or through interviewing grandparents etc. Many stories were available from Duhill/Clogheen/Ardfinnan/Ballylooby schools and many others locally.
Next Friday Night 18th Duhill Hall (E21 H677) @8pm, come along for a trip down memory lane, and a cup of tea, you’ll be surprised how many surnames you’ll recognise, and townslands, whether it’s fables, true stories, old cures etc, not to be missed
