Historic Houses of Ireland is delighted that so many of its members in County Cork are opening their doors to celebrate the theme of "Connections, Routes & Networks" for Heritage Week 2024!

We are particularly proud that three rarely-glimpsed houses have agreed to open on our behalf for Heritage Week 2024.

An open afternoon at lovingly restored Laurentinum House in Doneraile on Saturday, 17th, is followed by a talk on the house and the Battle of Knocknanuss by the owner at Glenlohane House in Kanturk on Wednesday, 21st. Lastly, we have a talk and tour at the spectacular Inish Beg Estate on Inish Beg Island outside Baltimore on Friday, 23rd.

Ballyvolane House in Castlelyons is also hosting its usual fun open day in its delightful gardens on Sunday, 18th complete with a free tour of this fabulous property. Bantry House is hosting various workshops throughout the week as part of the Ellen Hutchins Festival. And who could miss a tour of Blarney House in the grounds of the iconic Castle?

We kindly ask you to check the individual house listings on the heritage week website for exact times, dates and booking requirements as all of these houses are also private homes.

Please note the Glenlohane talk MUST be booked in advanced through Historic Houses of Ireland.

Looking forward to celebrating Heritage Week 2024 with you!
