Guided Walk at Bohernabreena Reservoir

Join us for a gently paced walk around Bohernabreena Upper Reservoir in the Glenasmole SAC led by Uisce Éireann & Dublin City Council with the Dublin Mountains Partnership Volunteer Rangers. Along the way Ger Goodwin (Reservoir Caretaker) will share his knowledge of the heritage and geological features of the site, while David Fallon (Ecologist) will discuss and highlight the flora & fauna of this unique site.

A complimentary bus will transport participants from Rua Red Café beside The Square to Bohernabreena and return.

Please note the route is on gravel trails.
Length: 5km approx.
Walk Duration:1.5 to 2 hours approx. (2.5 to 3 hours including bus journey).
Degree of difficulty: Easy.

Bring: Sturdy footwear, rain jacket, sun hat, warm layers, drink and snack.
Meeting point: Rua Red Café beside The Square in Tallaght at 18:00 where a complimentary bus will take participants to the site and return.

Parking at Bohernabreena North car park is very limited and cannot be guaranteed, which is why we’re providing a free bus service for attendees. Please do not book if you do not intend to use the bus.

Note: no dogs allowed on this walk.
Please inform us privately of any health issues on the day and ensure you bring any necessary medication with you.
In the event of an orange or red weather warning, this event will be cancelled. Other weather warnings will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
