Discover the archaeological evidence for Vikings in Kerry with Explore Archaeology this National Heritage Week. Combining archaeology and living history, this interactive drop-in workshop brings Kerry’s Viking past to life. Get hands on with heritage, and take home your own Viking amulet! Inclusive and accessible to all ages and levels of interest.

Francesca Callaghan is an archaeologist, heritage educator and ancient technology specialist. She is a Heritage in Schools Specialist with The Heritage Council and holds a PhD Track and BA (Hons) in Viking Age Archaeology.

Through her company Explore Archaeology, Francesca has facilitated archaeological workshops and events for both children and adults across heritage sites in Ireland and the UK - including Brú na Bóinne, Kilkenny Castle and Loughcrew Cairns.
