Guided Historic Walk of Dangan and Kilmore Villages

This will be a guided walk of our two historic villages Dangan and Kilmore. The walk will be conducted by Camilla Kelly and Tommie Kenoy who will alternately describe the story of each historic structure. We will also have guest presenters. The walk will commence in Dangan at 3pm. The event is free.
This will be the sequence of sites visited
1. Start at Dangan School
2. The Parish Community Centre.
3. Dangan Church.
4. Dangan Castle.
5. Flynn’s shop and Doherty’s shop.
6. Clogher Bridge and river.
7.. New Road and Giblin’s Dispensary.
8. Clogher house.
9. The Sheep Park.
10. Gills shop.
11. Faughnan’s pub and shop.
12. The Thatched pub.
13. The Garda Station.
14. The Dispensary.
15. The PO and site of public ‘phone.
16. Glebe House.
17. Village Water Pump.
18. Kilmore School.
19. Kilmore Inn,.
20. Football field.
21. Kilmore Hall.
22. Gilfillan’s house.
23. The Sports Field.
24. Clooncommon road.
25. The Caretakers house.
26. Kilmore Church and the many historic items within the site walls.
