The Irish Labour History Society collections in Beggars Bush, Dublin contain a unique collection of archival and rare items relating to the history of Irish workers, their organisations and the wider labour and republican movement.
Enjoy a free tour of the collections on Saturday 19th August (open 12PM-3PM). Among the items on display will be an original Irish Citizen Army uniform, historic trade union banners, along with some of the rare items from our collections.
A unique Irish Labour Party and Trade Union Congress minute book from the 1921 to 23 period is currently being conserved and digitised, courtesy of a Heritage Council community grant. Similar items from our collections will be on display, including pages from a predecessor minute book.
All welcome!
Further digitised historic archives also available on the Society website www.irishlabourhistorysociety.com that was launched in 2022 with the support of the Heritage Council.
