Enjoy a visit to Kells Priory; Irelands largest enclosed medieval ecclesiastical site. Check out the remains of the monastery, the site of the medieval mill, infirmary, kitchens, bread oven and so much more.
A walking route by the King's River leads back to Kells Village and otters, herons and ducks are regularly visible. The kingfisher might even make an appearance.
The restored water wheel is visible at The King's Mill.
Children must be accompanied at all times. Please be aware of an open river bank and mill race plus uneven surfaces.
Access to the site is through a field so please wear suitable footwear and neware of uneven surfaces.
