Foraging the Shoreline: Seaweed, Culture, and Women’s Knowledge Systems
Women’s Collective Ireland - Clare is hosting a guided Seaweed Foraging Walk along the stunning coastline of Co. Clare, led by the inspiring Oonagh O’Dwyer of Wild Kitchen. This unique experience is especially designed to encourage people to reconnect with nature, and gain the skills to confidently identify and sustainably harvest edible seaweeds.
It will also be an opportunity to hear stories of Irish women seaweed foragers - past and present - who have handed down their knowledge from one generation to the next.

This event is kindly supported by the Water Heritage Day Event Grants Scheme, from the Local Authority Waters Programme.
Spaces are limited to keep the group intimate — book early to avoid disappointment.
What to bring: Waterproof clothing, walking shoes/wellies, bag or basket to take some seaweed, sharp knife/scissors and a sense of curiosity!
