Folly tales and treasure trails

25 August, 2pm - 7pm

  • Ballycumber Bridge
  • Ballycumber, Co Offaly
  • Co. Offaly

The connection between Clara, Ballycumber, Pollagh and Ferbane is the river Brosna which flows through each of the communities. In each community there is a bridge that sees many travelers and locals traverse daily. We will be hosting a few inclusive art workshops with groups of children, children with disabilities (Bellair Unit Boher) and a group from St Hildas in Ferbane (mild, moderate and severe intellectual disabilities). A local artist Tara who runs art therapy workshops will use the workshops to get inspiration to design a flag that will be flown at all the bridges in the above communities to remind us of our connectivity every time that we pass over the bridges.
