St. Tigernach's Monastic Settlement was founded on the eastern boundary of the Kingdom of Clogher in the 5th Century. Monastic Sites are early proto towns and St. Tigernach's Monastery was the foundation for the town of Clones.
Come and join us for an informative tour of Clones and learn more about the history of the many Monastic Monuments that make Clones special as the only Monastic Town in Co. Monaghan.
Tours will take place daily at 12pm and will take approximately 75mins.
