Eels of The River Nore with Rob Cruikshank
Nore Vision volunteers take part in an annual eel monitoring project each Summer with Inland Fisheries Ireland. As part of this project, we host a workshop with Dr. Rob Cruikshank during National Heritage Week. Dr. Rob Cruikshank is an eel scientist and he will take us on a fascinating journey of an eel's life. Rob has enthralled audiences in the past few years with science and tales.
The European Eel (Anguilla anguilla) journeys from its breeding ground in the Sargasso Sea across to the Atlantic to our rivers and streams like the River Nore.
The event will take place in Inistioge (location to be confirmed closer to the date). It is fully accessible and all are welcome especially the young.
