We’re delighted to be kicking off our Heritage Week programme on Saturday 16th August at 3pm with this presentation by historian, teacher, author, and recognised authority on the history of the county Dr. Joe Kelly. Joe will be known to listeners of Highland Radio’s Nine ’til Noon Show for his regular ‘Talking History’ segment, and to others for the many lectures he has delivered over the years on different aspects of Donegal history.

In this talk, Joe will discuss the Donegal railways in relation to their historical development, social impact, and the local lore that developed around them. Joe’s talks are always as entertaining as they are informative, so this is sure to be a fascinating and fun afternoon!
