DLR Biodiversity is delighted to invite you to a bat walk and talk led by Bat Conservation Ireland at Marlay Park to celebrate Heritage Week 2025.
Learn about bat species of Ireland and the bats that occur in our parks. Meeting at Marlay House, Bat Conservation Ireland will take us on a walk through the park, highlighting places where bats are likely to forage (feed) when they come out after sunset and the types of habitats they can be found in. This includes old stone bridges and buildings.
If anyone has a bat detector be sure to bring it with you. At least seven species of bat have been recorded within the park previously. Let’s see what we find this year!
All children must be accompanied by an adult. Places are limited. To attend the event book your tickets on Eventbrite.
