Discover Your Local Wetlands in Shannon Town
The Shannon Town Wetlands Committee, in conjunction with the Local Authority Waters Programme, invite you to join them for a 'Wetlands Discovery Day'.
This is a free day of family fun and refreshments in the Shannon Town Community Wetlands site. Join us in identifying specialised wetland plants and animals, in undertaking a pond-dip to check out what lives in the water, and to partake in outdoor games to help us all better understand what is so special in our local environment.
The event will be followed by light refreshments on site.
The Shannon Town Wetlands Committee, in conjunction with the Local Authority Waters Programme, invite you to join then for a 'Wetlands Discovery Day' on Saturday, 13 August, from 11am to 1pm as part of National Heritage Week 2002.
