Callan Seed Saving Walk and Talk

Monica Flemming, horticulturist and nature lover, will lead a walk and talk through the meadows in Callan to demonstrate how to collect wild flower seed. Seed saving is an age-old tradition of resilience and is a great way to get engaged with nature. This event will be a taster session to demonstrate how easy it is to collect wild flower seed and will allow time to appreciate the valuable meadow habitats that are located in the heart of Callan.

Limited places available, please book by emailing biodiversity@kilkennycoco.ie. This is an outdoor event, please dress accordingly and boots/wellies are advisable. This is a weather dependent event, should the event be cancelled due to bad weather conditions, registered participants will be notified by email, on the afternoon of the 14th of August. This event is supported by the National Parks & Wildlife Service under the National Biodiversity Action Plan (2017-2021).
