Brosna River Literary & Music
Language and the spoken word play a major role in connecting all of us, and The Brosna River Literary & Music Festival focuses greatly on the spoken word through the telling or stories and reciting of poems. Music also has the capacity to draw people together, and our musicians Ros & Fraser with their interesting twist on Irish music, along with local singers, will liven the event.
The festival will once again take place in the magnificent tree lined auditorium, on the banks of the Brosna River, at Clara House Estate. There will be art and music workshops for children prior to the event, where children are welcome to explore the beauty of nature around them and explore the sounds of the instruments. This is an immersive outdoor experience, with cover from the elements provided and seating is available. To add to your enjoyment refreshments will be served.
The event is part of the Cross Community Brosna River Relay Initiative, organized by the Clara Heritage Society in Partnership with Clara Tidy Towns & Chamber of Commerce. The festival is supported by Ferbane, Pullough & Ballycumber.
The festival is accessible by rail, a 5min walk from the station. If you have extra mobility needs, please contact claraheritagesociety@email.com or phone 0852534711 to ensure that accommodation is in place.
Book your seat at the festival and a place on the workshop for the children on Eventbrite or email or Facebook Clara Heritage Society.
